An expert with more than 23 years’ experience in the food testing sector has taken up the role of general manager of a specialist laboratory operated by Exova, the global testing group.
Liz Fleming joins Exova from her role as a director of ALS Food & Pharmaceutical in Ireland, where she was responsible for sites providing microbiological and chemical testing services. Prior to this, she held a number of senior operational roles with ALS in both Ireland and the UK.
She has taken over as general manager of Exova’s Cork laboratory in Ireland, which carries out a range of chemical and microbiological analysis for the food, environment and pharmaceutical sectors.
Services include food testing chemistry and microbiology, microbiological testing for the pharmaceutical industry and water, effluent and waste water analysis.
Liz said: “I have worked in this sector for more than two decades and am looking forward to bringing my experience to Exova’s customers throughout Ireland and beyond.
“The Cork laboratory has established a strong reputation among a range of high profile national and international organisations and I am keen to further build on this background, particularly at a time when our customers’ markets are under increased scrutiny.”
Liz is the latest senior recruit to join Exova’s UK business, after Helene Jones was appointed as general manager of the group’s specialist corrosion testing lab in Dudley.
