Exova has achieved success in the prestigious annual Occupational Health and Safety Awards scheme run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
The Silver Award will be presented to Exova at a ceremony in Glasgow on 15 September as RoSPA marks the 60th year of the scheme.
The Awards recognise the achievement and commitment of businesses and organisations that have raised standards of health and safety management and performance and reflects their dedication, hard work and continued improvement.
This is the fourth time Exova has won the RoSPA Silver Award with the others achieved earlier in 2016 and in 2015.
Simon Hayles, Group HSE Director at Exova, said: “Winning this award is testament to both Exova’s philosophy that ‘the standard you walk past is the standard you accept’ and the dedication and hard work of every one of our colleagues. We are deeply proud that RoSPA has, for the second year running, recognised our commitment to providing a safe working environment for our people.”
Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of awards and events, said: “To win an award at such a highly-regarded event as the RoSPA Awards is a great achievement for our winners. It recognises their commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record and raises the bar for other organisations to aspire to. We offer them our congratulations.”
As the UK’s family safety charity, RoSPA’s mission is to save lives and reduce injuries at all ages and stages of life. In support of this mission, the RoSPA Awards, which celebrate their diamond anniversary this year, recognise commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work. Through the scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
