Exova, the global testing, calibration and advisory services provider, has appointed Dionisis Theodosis as head of chemistry for its UK food testing business.
Dionisis brings more than 10 years’ experience in food chemistry and laboratory management, with a focus on analysis and quality assurance. Prior to joining Exova, Dionisis spent over eight years with LGC Group, where he worked in food chemistry as well as food and consumer safety, most recently holding the position of laboratory manager.
Dionisis’ appointment comes at a time of significant investment in Exova’s Birmingham nutritional chemistry laboratory.
Phil Coles, director of health sciences, Europe at Exova, said: “Dionisis has extensive experience working across food chemistry and an expertise in chemical analysis. This combined with his knowledge of operations management makes him a valuable asset to our customers, who can rely on him for expert guidance as they navigate complex and often-changing UK and EU regulatory testing requirements.
A graduate of T.E.I. Athens and Oxford Brookes University, Dionisis is currently completing an Executive MBA from The Open University and is a member of the Institute of Food Science and Technology and the Royal Society of Chemistry. He will provide technical support across Exova’s Food Chemistry operations work, primarily based in the Birmingham laboratory. He will also assist in the development and provision of training programs for clients, as well as expand the capabilities within Chemistry, in order to meet customer requirements.
