Exova has worked on the Boeing Apache programme since its inception in the early 70’s. As part of the aircraft’s ongoing development Boeing contracted Exova to conduct specialist materials testing on key components.
Exova’s Santa Fe Springs, California, laboratory undertook a range of mechanical testing at various temperatures on metallic transmission materials to provide Boeing with key performance parameters.
This work further underlined how our testing has helped to advance materials performance ensuring the aircraft remains at the very forefront of military aviation worldwide.
