Exova Ltd is the foremost independent materials testing laboratory in the region. The laboratory serves clients in the oil & gas, construction and civil engineering sectors.

To accommodate the needs of it's clients, Exova has established a number of project specific site laboratories.

The laboratory was the first in the region to achieve UKAS accreditation and has built a reputation for the quality and breadth of the services it offers. The laboratory is also approved by the ERDWA (Environmental Research, Wildlife and Development Agency).

Our Doha based laboratory was established at the beginning of 2005. From the purpose built laboratory building, the operation is providing key services to the oil & gas, construction and environmental sectors:

- Environmental and Analytical Services. Includes both field monitoring services and laboratory analytical services
- Civil Materials Testing Services; A wide range of international standard and in house developed tests on materials and products used in the construction industry
- Ground Engineering and Geophysical Services including an extensive range of piled foundation testing services
- Metallurgy and Coatings Testing Services to serve the petrochemical, industrial, civil, manufacturing and product supplier markets.
- Specialist civil engineering tests including investigative services, structural load testing, complex instrumentation of structures, curtain wall / façade testing etc.
- The establishment of on-site testing laboratories for major projects, especially in the construction sector.

The laboratory is unique in Dubai Emirate as it delivers UKAS ISO 17025 accredited services to the civil engineering, chemistry and environmental sectors.

The laboratory delivers testing capabilities in six principal sectors:

Al Futtaim Exova’s Cladding Technology Division services clients throughout the Middle East delivering testing, consultancy and inspection activities. Testing is performed to British, American and other standards, at pre-construction stage for design validation, and on site as part of QA/QC programmes. Fire Testing, Certification & Fire Safety Consulting

•Consulting services including strategic design, legislative compliance checking, fire safety audits and risk assessments, advice in litigation matters and fire safety management advice.
•Fire Testing services comprise fire tests and assessments to a large number of national and international standards
•Architectural product testing services include comprehensive mechanical and environmental testing of components of building hardware and related components
•Inspection services evaluate conformity of installed fire protection products or systems with specification, as well as assessing the adequacy of fire protection in accordance with regulatory requirements or the level of risk
•Certifying products, contractors and completed projects is undertaken through CERTIFIRE and FIRAS schemes and at a European level is provided in support of CE marking against various EU Directives
