Warringtonfire Training

The performance of fire protection systems will only be determined when a fire actually occurs. It is vital that the quality of the installations is assured and that specifications are followed.

The installation of the specialist materials used in fire protection systems should only be undertaken by competent and knowledgeable people if the system is to perform as anticipated. The training will provide an underpinning knowledge that may be required for third party installer certification schemes such as FIRAS.
Many manufacturers, contractors, specifiers architects, building control officers and clients within the construction industry have already benefited from the training provided by Warringtonfire The courses are divided into modules that allow you to choose your individual requirements

Most modules are offered at two levels – beginners and advanced. This may be useful if considering an NVQ Assessment or an Apprenticeship in fire protection. With ten years of training experience and over forty years of fire protection experience Warringtonfire is the ideal place to gain the underpinning knowledge required not only for the construction industry but for all aspects of fire safety.

The course is generally composed of a half-day core module comprising an introduction to the Warringtonfire group, building regulations, fire and fire testing.

The product modules are approximately half a day each and include topics such as the following:

Structural Steel Protection – Boards, Intumescent Paint and Spray.
Penetration Sealing Systems.
Cavity Barriers.
Fire Rated Walls & Ceilings.
Fire Doors Timber & Steel.
Rolling Shutter Doors.
Fire Resisting Ducting.
Fire Resisting Glass & Glazing Systems.
Maintenance and Repairs.

The presentations can be chosen at either a beginner level (for those new to the industry), or an advanced level (for those with a good knowledge of the industry).
We can design a training programme to suit your exact needs then deliver at a time and place convenient to you or alternatively, at a location chosen by us.

The training service has the support of the Warringtonfire group, which is the largest independent fire testing and assessment organisation, with extensive experience in all areas of fire protection.
