Plastics
And Polymers: Exova
provides testing and failure analysis services relating to composite
materials including Carbon Fibre and GRP, plastics, rubbers, coatings,
adhesives and other polymer-based materials. Our clients find
application for our services in aerospace, utility companies (water,
gas, telecoms), construction, energy and medical.
Automotive:
Durability
testing, fire testing, functionality tests, materials performance and
corrosion testing are all services that Exova provides to the European
automotive sector. Exova understands the need of the automotive
industry for reliable, professional services delivered in a
cost-conscious and timely manner. Our Technology Centre also offers
engine & chassis development programmes.
Aerospace:
Fatigue,
crack growth, fracture toughness, radiography and a host of other tests
are offered to the aerospace sector from Exova's accredited and OEM
approved laboratories. Expert materials scientists and chemists ensure
that you receive answers, not just results. The Group can undertake
both high volume testing and sophisticated materials development
programmes.
Rail: Exova’s
laboratories and consultants are available 24 hours a day to meet the
needs of a safety focused railway industry, where health &
safety,
service delivery, reliability, availability and value for money are key
factors. Improving safety performance by materials testing, failure
analysis and condition monitoring/asset management is vital in
supporting rail customers to achieve these challenging targets.
Defence: Exova
provides expert materials testing and consultancy services to
Governments and industrial defence clients. Our proprietary BOMIC
system measures the shelf life of munitions in conditions of high
temperatures and humidity. Mechanical tests on tank parts; fatigue
tests on missile hangers & fracture toughness tests on bridge
materials are all included.
Oil, Gas
And Petrochemical: With
materials testing laboratories strategically situated around Europe,
Scandinavia, the Middle East, Canada and the USA, Exova is the World's
leading supplier of materials testing services to the oil and gas
industry. Our services range from mechanical testing fabrication weld
procedures, through highly sophisticated sour-service corrosion tests
to full scale tests on umbilicals and risers. Site teams can be
mobilised at short notice to resolve materials problems both onshore
and offshore. Our clients include fabricators, material suppliers,
component manufacturers, engineering design companies, operators and a
multitude of others in the demanding oil & gas industry. Exova
provides 24/7 service, 365 days a year when necessary.
Power
Generation: Safe
and uninterrupted operations are essential for power generators. Exova
plays an important role in validating materials and assisting when
things go wrong. Radiography and high temperature tests such as creep,
stress rupture and stress relaxation are performed in our accredited
laboratories. Plant metallurgical replication for residual
life-assessment is also available.
Construction:
Exova
offers the construction industry unrivalled expertise in materials
performance testing, including facilities for structural and component
testing up to 2,000kN force, fire testing, assessments product
certification, installer certification, architectual product testing,
ISO9000 certification and a fire safety engineering consultancy. Our
engineers have many years experience of site failure analysis, crack
detection and materials identification. We also provide contaminated
land analysis, asbestos surveying & effluent analysis.
Utilities:
Exova's
accredited laboratories provide expert assistance to utility companies
in areas such as water quality, asbestos surveys and environmental
testing. Exova PDL has many years experience in piping design, joining
technology, materials selection, inspection and systems auditing. Exova
