The laboratory was established in Salford during March 1990 as part of the rapidly expanding group of Exova laboratories. The Salford laboratory has specialised in the testing of heavy duty corrosion protection of pipelines, in particular for British Gas and the UK Water industry. The testing includes both artificial and natural weathering, salt spray facilities, coating thickness, gloss, adhesion and performance testing, along with a full range of testing of automotive paints.
