Tests and Capabilities:

  • Component Testing
  • Bi axial Fatigue
  • Thermo-mechanical Fatigue
  • H2S Corrosion Fatigue
  • Crack Propagation da/DN
  • Composite fatigue
  • Resonant Fatigue
  • Fracture Mechanics
  • JR Curves
Specimen Testing:
  • Evaluation of fracture toughness testing using a wide range of differing geometries (CT, MT, SENT, SENB)
  • Testing of standard samples in fatigue at high or low temperature
  • Low temperature static testing available (-196°C, -163°C etc)
  • In practice it is difficult to envisage an engineering structure that does not have defects which could initiate a fatigue crack.
  • A wide range of crack propagation tests can be conducted on most geometries
  • From Composites to Carbon steels, Aluminium Alloys to Polymers
Component Testing
  • Fatigue, proof, ultimate, creep, high temperature, low temperature, tensile, compression, torsion
  • Exova will offer a versatile service to ensure that the testing frame or machine is adapted to fit your component
  • There are circumstances where fatigue tests are required to be carried out on, components or structures to specific wave forms or load spectrums including: simulated road load data or combined cyclic fatigue
  • Exova have the ability to design, build and execute multi-axial fatigue tests on small structures or self reacting structures using actuators with capacities up to 2000kN
