Trace organic compound levels in pharmaceuticals and consumer products can alter a product’s efficacy and toxicity.
There are also regulatory limits for many common organic compounds. To ensure compliance one can either follow established methods as prescribed in the USP or EP or develop and validate methods for specific compounds in specific materials. Instrumentation such as GCMS, GC, LCMS, LC, FTIR and others are used for this testing.
Some applications include:
- Residual Solvents
- Residual Solvents Screen by GCMS
- Ethylene Oxide by GC
- Acrylamide by LC or Isotope-Dilution GCMS
- Alcohols by GC or GCMS
- Aldehydes and Ketones by LC, GC, or GCMS
- Ethylene Chlorohydrin and Ethylene Glycol by GC
- Antioxidants and plasticizers by GC, GCMS and/or LCMSMS
- Glycols by GC
- Pesticide screen by GCMS
- Phenols by GC or GCMS
- Phtalates by GCMS
