Exova’s Calgary facility specializes in the testing of conventional and oil sands core. Specific analytical tests provide data for composition, selected rock properties and particle size distributions. Digital images core are typically included. Reports are prepared by competent technical staff who focus on providing accurate analytical results on time with the data presented in a clear concise format.

Laboratory Analysis:

Exova's Calgary lab is equipped with modern instrumentation such as helium porosimeters, helium permeameters, laser diffraction particle size analyzers and numerous Dean and Stark apparatuses. Core handling, slabbing and sampling saws are located in the same facility. A second facility was opened to facilitate the high-volume core handling requirements for oilsands core analysis.

Digital Imaging:

Core slabs are photographed under tightly controlled conditions to produce permanent visual records of the core. Test data summaries are available with the point-and-click feature. Simply clicking on the section of interest opens a relevant data table for the interval.

Exova Calgary (12th St) is open seven days a week (excluding holidays) to meet our clients' requirements. An On Call Service for after hours emergencies is also available (charges may apply).
