Chemical Analysis: Utilizing the latest ICP & OES technology as well as Leco and classical wet chemical procedures to suit all sample types. Coating chemistry determinations using wet and XRF methods. Portable spectrometer for on-site testing and sorting.

Mechanical Testing: Ultimate strength, tensile/yield/elongation/reduction of area, instrumented ‘r&n’ value determinations, impact, shear, hardness testing (rockwell, brinell, microhardness, jominy/end-quench/hardenability, on-site/portable hardness), fastener testing (proof load, axial strength, wedge tensile, hydrogen embrittlement, torque/tension).

Metallurgy: Automated image analysis, microstructural evaluations, macrostructure, case depth, grain size, inclusion rating, coating thickness, depth of decarburization, hydrogen embrittlement tests, intergranular corrosion evaluation, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectrometry, hardness testing and failure analysis.

Welding: Weld procedures & welder performance qualification testing including bend, tensile, micro/macrostructure and profile, hardness survey, impact resistance, tear and ultimate strength.

Component Testing: Utilizing tension and compression test frames from 600lbf to 400,000lbf, full size parts, components, chains, lifting devices, landing gear can be tested for proof load, ultimate strength, cyclic and progressive load applications.

Consulting: Material and component failure or defect analysis, material grading and specification interpretation, expert witness for litigation, test/process designed programs and recommendations regarding cost savings and process improvements for in-house testing labs.
