Exova Brandhaus is a leading supplier of fire testing across many different industries and possesses the required certificates and accreditations required in the respective industry segments.

Exova Brandhaus is an accredited (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025) and certified (DIN EN ISO 9001) test centre. Furthermore BHH is officially acknowledged and notified by different authorities both national and international (LBA, EBA, KBA, IMO, Hessisches Ministerium für Wirtschaft/DIBt).

Exova Brandhaus is an expert in fire testing of materials for the building and transportation industries and owns one of the most modern facilities in the industry. To assess specific fire scenarios, our team performs fire tests on a 1:1 scale with realistic fire loads e.g. piles of wood, fuels or gas flames.

The laboratory emerged from the development and production units of the former central research and process engineering department of Höchst AG.

Since being established in 1978, the facility has accomplished a huge number of fire tests. This has resulted in an extraordinary level of resource of experience and expertise on the basis of several thousands of fire tests being successfully conducted.

During the early nineties the test facility was converted from an “in-house service provider” within Höchst AG to an independent facility. The company currently employs 8 employees.
