Our shock and vibration facilities have supported the automotive, commercial truck & bus, off-highway, military, aerospace, marine, and rail industries and have the capability to provide single axis to 6-degrees of freedom (MAST) with and without environmental conditioning. Exova’s shock and vibration facilities are capable of providing additional external inputs (cyclic pressure/pressure pulses (air & fluid), hot exhaust gas, electrical & mechanical cycling). We also provide frequency bandwidths for shock and vibration from DC to 5000 Hz.

Our shock and vibration equipment includes electro-dynamic (ED) Shakers (w & w/o slip tables), high frequency hydraulic actuators and mechanical shock test fixtures. Several of our environmental chambers support the vibration facilities capable of exposing the test samples to -73°C to +177°C and relative humidity up to 95%.

Simulation has been used as an advanced developmental tool for the engineering community for component, sub-systems and full vehicle systems design. Our 13 simulation test cells have the ability to combine real world and Proving Ground dynamic inputs with environmental conditioning to simulate every extreme condition found throughout the world.

This technology provides a significant advantage to an OEM, Tier 1 or Tier 2 company seeking to reduce development costs and compress the design cycle of their products. Environmental conditioning supports the simulation facilities capable of exposing the test samples to temperatures from -73°C to +177°C, relative humidity up to 95% and solar radiation.
