Shock Test

A shock test determines how an aerospace product reacts to mechanical shock.

Aerospace parts must perform well under mechanical stress, such as during an impact or explosion. To measure an aerospace product's response to mechanical shock, a shock test emulates a sudden acceleration or deceleration caused by these phenomenon.

A shock test can be performed on all kinds of aerospace parts and electronic modules. Exova can conduct a shock test using an electronic dynamic vibration table, and can simulate various temperatures and humidity conditions.

Exova's shock test profiles can include:

  • Half Sine wave
  • 11 milliseconds
  • 25G

Exova can perform a shock test by methods MIL STD 810F and RTC Standard.
