| Soils and Sediments analysis The analysis of soils and sediments has developed due to the growing awareness of the environment and increasing demand to re-develop brownfield and derelict sites. This has resulted in increasing levels of legislation and guidance controlling development on potentially contaminated land.
Old industrial sites are frequently contaminated due to the industrial process carried out in them. The developer needs to be aware of the legacy of contamination they may inherit in order to satisfy the legislation and accurately estimate the remediation and development costs and satisfy the legislation.
