• We have helped leading aircraft manufacturers revolutionise airliner efficiency through the use of lightweight composite materials
• We tested the structural integrity of cabling on the Forth Road Bridge, ensuring the safety of some 80,000 drivers every day
• We help the 23 million people passing through Heathrow Terminal 5 to be safe in the knowledge that it is designed to meet the most rigorous fire safety standards
• We were called in following the 1995 Kobe earthquake to test and advise on strengthening utility pipes to reduce damage from future earthquakes
• We are helping vehicle manufacturers to protect our environment by testing the performance of low-emission engines
