Christian joined CD&R in 2004 and is based in London. Christian led the sale of Brakes and served as a director prior to CD&R’s sale. Prior to joining CD&R, he was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, where he was one of three partners responsible for the European activities of the Firm’s multi-billion-dollar buyout funds. Christian previously was a director at Schroder Ventures (now Permira), where he was responsible for European business development. He also worked in the London and New York offices of Morgan Stanley’s mergers and acquisitions department. He holds a B.A. and Ph.D. in law from the Université de Lausanne, as well as an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
