Exova's welding consultancy, inspection and training services fulfil the needs of the fabrication and welding industry from guidance at design stage, through to the drafting of your welding documentation, approval and co-ordination of welding operations at production. Exova's services can be used as a sole source of welding engineering or in support of your existing operations. Exova personnel can provide assistance in the initial stages and advise on aspects such as: selection of materials and welding consumables, selection of the welding process, welded joint design, distortion control, welding procedure and welder approval qualifications.

Industries utilizing this service include Fabrication, Construction, Automotive, Power Generation and Transportation. Inspections can be performed at the laboratory facility or on-site. These inspections are performed to a variety of national and international welding codes, standards and directives for example  ASME (American Society for Mechanical Engineers) 31.1 and 31.3 and many others.
